Painting with Light: Expressive Watercolor & Collage

Location
Sunstone Studio & Gallery (by appointment)
17A North Auburn St., Kennewick, WA 99336
(509) 308-7362

About the Workshop

This intimate two-day studio workshop invites artists into a slower, more intuitive approach to painting—one focused on atmosphere, layering, and emotional presence rather than formulas or fixed outcomes.

Working with expressive watercolor and collage, participants explore transparency, texture, and subtle mark-making while learning to listen to the work as it unfolds. Demonstrations emphasize layered washes, thoughtful composition, and knowing when to add, pause, or let a piece breathe.

Limited to four participants, the experience offers generous individual guidance in a calm, supportive studio environment. Designed to be both restorative and creatively expansive.

What You’ll Explore

  • Expressive watercolor for mood and depth

  • Layering with collage and mixed media
